Thanks, that's.....interesting. He doesn't seem like the type to find and try obscure apps for fun

5 miles, I can understand. Visual range, small arms range, and about the extent of controlled airspace around airports making drone operations practically illegal without a bunch of advance notice and permission.

50 miles is a tad excessive no? And if these "advarsaries" (a convenient phrase that can be twisted to mean anyone) are such a threat why stop there? Why not a state wide action? Or a federal law?

I'm out of the loop what's going on?

High risk high reward I guess. And it varies a lot because some are super hard core with latin and all, and some are pretty relaxed with it

In theory you're not supposed to have pre-marital sex (it probably happens all the time) and dating would tend to be more serious than casual. Going steady vs hooking up. So yeah I imagine having a relationship not work out carries more weight

But once you get past that you get a long lasting marriage, a family and all the positives that come with that

Okay so you want to use the online maps instead?

If that is the question I use Microsoft Earth as an underlay with the offline map. The slider can change the transparency as needed. It looks like this

This setup relies on the offline map data which is a downside for you. But I think you can do something similar with an online map tile overlay and sat underlay and not show offline data

Edit: I played around and you can make that work with online maps too. I used Microsoft Earth as an underlay and Cycle OSM as the primary map. This is what it looks like and the settings

Have you considered the Organic Maps app?

OSMand can be configured to do a lot of cool things and I use it a lot. But honestly if you don't need all the bells and whistles OrganicMaps is a lot smoother to use by comparison

Personally I get more of a reaction from smelling diesel exhaust and smoke at the same time

I've never associated dead people smells with food though.

I agree that trying to bring manufacturing capability is a huge deal. Economics aside people talk about private jets polluting like crazy, well every container ship belches smoke like the fucking fire navy. And there's a lot of them

Speaking of the navy there's a concerning amount of missile components that are subcontracted to chinese companies

But all that said if I was a company and I could hold out for 4 years I wouldn't build facilities in the US. When the new admin comes in I bet they would remove tarrifs and those facilities become way less profitable

This was found in a 1987-1989 Power Squadrons Piloting Course manual. It has a lot of cool and useful stuff in it. It turns out Ships Logs and Journaling have a lot in common!

I've been using an app so long I forgot my actual password! But when I go on the sh.itjust.works main site and put my email in the reset page it doesn't really do anything

Edit nvm I remembered my password but still the reset function didn't work for me so for the sake of other users it should be checked out

First up yes I'm a camo nerd. Metal Gear Solid 3 awakened something in me! Anyway every now and then I take different camo patterns into the woods and take photos as a reference to help people choose what works best for them. This one, Pencott Wildwood looks way too brown in most photos. Check it out!

But with the selfie cam it looks a lot closer to how it does in person

Maybe it's just the phone software that's only used in the main camera? I've messed with some of the settings with no luck. Here's a closer view of the pattern to show you what it's like up close

Any theories?
