Unless there's any major pain point with the current design, they will keep it. I could see them making a shell that has more slots for expansion cards, and make it so that future mobos could take advantage of that, or just have some.inaccessible slots if stuck into an OG shell.

Thanks for the info.

As a FW16 batch 2 person, I'm guessing all these issues will likely affect the 16 as well, and will get fixed for both laptops at the same time? The APUs are the game other than thermal limits right?

I've had soooo many cases of FedEx delivering my stuff to one of my neighbors. I do occasionally get my neighbor's packages too. Even though we all have well labeled houses.

Additionally FedEx does shit like give you some reasonable shipping date, then it gets delayed by 2 days, then when the delay ends up being only 1 day, they pat themselves on the back for an "early" delivery. The math ain't mathing bro.

Yeah part of what Framework wants to do is keep stable prices. That means overcharge for volatile components.

It runs great on the Steam Deck, so should be even better on the FW.

The buried lede here is we could've had four major players in the GPU space, if it weren't for those meddling board members. This fourth one surely would've been built with compute in mind from the ground up, which might have finally put out a real competitor to CUDA.

How many batches were slated for Q4 again? It sounds like best case scenario they finish validation by end of month, and then they get maybe 4 weekly batches out this year.
