First time boot with amd can take up to 10 minutes depending on the brand, speed and timing of your ram. It's training the memory, figuring out the best speeds and timing to use. It may do that up to three times but usually only once. After that it boots quick and easy. If it continues to do that with every boot, try changing out the ram (if you can) or try removing one stick and see how it does. Trade sticks after it settles and repeat. If the problem persists with one stick and not the other, replace the problematic one.

I'm getting 6 to 9 hours with the Ryzen 7 on Windows 11. I have a 65 watt power bank to back it up if needed. If I'm gaming with my 13 then I only get 2 to 4 hours depending on the game.

Keep in mind that many features of the CPU and GPU are turned off by default on Windows 10 with 5th and 7th Gen Ryan's as they were developed for Windows 11.

I should add that it worked fine on my Framework 11th gen i7, and also works fine on my desktop and my HTPC. My new AMD framework is the only one having this issue.

Been using 11 on my frameworks since my first one with an 11th Gen i7. It works just fine. The new UI takes some getting used to but once you do, 10 will feel and look so outdated and old to you.

Just upgraded from an 11th Gen i7 to the 7th gen R7 and my battery performance improved greatly. How it compares to the 13th gen Intels I couldn't tell you, but from an 11th gen i7 to a 7th gen R7 it was very noticable.

Just got my amd board for my 13 today. FedEx tried to deliver Monday, didn't leave a tag or anything. Tried to deliver yesterday, left a tag for me to sign, so I did. I was home all day today, got the notification that FedEx tried to deliver, but there was never a doorbell, never a knock. I checked my security cameras and the guy pulled up to my mailbox, stuck a tag on it and left. I had to wait until after 5 to pick it up at a Walgreens, package was torn and partly crushed.

I seriously doubt this main board I've been waiting months for will even work.

FedEx is the absolute worst in the Kansas City area. Had similar problems with a brand new dji drone and FedEx shipping last month.

I saw a headline in my tech feed last week that Microsoft is putting a lot of eggs into the Arm basket, meaning that a proper windows version for arm is on the horizon. Granted we have all heard this before, but seeing as how the industry is truly moving that way, I don't see how MS can survive if they don't.

Just got the email notification. My batch 3 AMD board is shipping in the next two to three days. I'm very excited.

I used to twitch stream gaming and PC builds but haven't done a stream in over a year now. I think though that I might stream the process of replacing the board.
