In the text and by actions t_d leadership and members are clearly identifying this rally as a white supremacist cause and are embracing the rhetoric, giving it a platform, and encouraging others to join in. This is one of the largest online communities in support of the then president endorsing this rally from the top down. After the attack it would take trump days to come close to a condemnation. These are not fringe sentiments held within the MAGA community. I have not seen anything from exploding heads to lead me to believe it is less extreme, kinder, gentler conservatism.

Not that long ago in my public school the most I could get away without detention was standing facing the flag and not speaking -and that was only because my homeroom teacher was fairly lax and I was the only objector.
Punishments for not participating were real and I can't say the school wouldn't have come up with a more formalized patriotism monitoring if more students rejected it as a movement. π€·ββοΈ
