Makes a lot of sense until the closed source affirmation. The source code of the OS they develop is closed source, but a lot of what they do is open source and independantly audited by experts, so there's that in the balance.

Windows is just a pile of trash.

This simply won't work and the implications and risks are too great to allow such a blasphemy. If a backdoor is built in every device, how do you guarantee the security ? This means anyone with enough skills and knowledge can abuse these types of backdoors.

This would set a very dangerous and dystopian precedent.

You'll notice that whenever something has an impact on Five Eyes entities, propaganda and for/against articles will blast every possible social media.

"Peu importe" would be more appropriate than "d'ailleurs" as translation for Anyway.

Personally i still got Windows on a second SSD for gaming as ive had a more reliable experience there than on any linux i've used as daily drivers (Arch, Endeavour, Debian and now Fedora 40)..

That being said, does this mean better compatibility with, say, Wayland for example ? I would like to completely ditch Windows but this aspect has been holding me back from a complete switch for years.
