Well you see, they all had their socks on so it wasn't gay as they went naked!

It doesn't even matter, just fall into the warm embrace of the mustache!

I was just coming to say this. A little bit of privacy and sound proofing? Yes please!

Also China's e.v.'s are making inroads. I know BYD makes a comparable, if not better car for a fraction of the price.

I think even without Trump&Musk doing exactly what a xenophobic moron would do at every opportunity, we'd still see Tesla's sales declining. I think this next century is gonna belong to China. Love em or hate em, they sure do have their shit together.

Idk. I haven't owned a car in 12 years, and haven't flown for even longer. And tourism accounts for 8% of carbon emissions, whereas cars are coming in at 16%.

Most people for most of history worshiped a fertility deity of one sort or another. Some stone age asshole spreading around what is basically nano tech (the seeds), having no idea how it worked, just knowing it was a miracle.

Just a few examples . Through out the year, at least before the abrahamic religions really took off, most people would have participated in at least one fertility ceremony or festival of some sort.

There's a ridiculous amount of energy being released all at once with a burning tanker. Bridges are of made steel and concrete, not magic!

This is precisely the reason hazardous materials are banned from being transported in tunnels. A cars worth of energy being torched? Sure. A tanker carrying several thousand cars worth of energy is a different beast altogether.

Mormons definitely deserve a lot of the bad rap they get, what with the overbearing patriarchal whatever they've got going. But they can usually be counted on to feed people.

It's a balancing act with no clear one size answer. Can't fix stupid, nor can you teach wisdom. There's definitely situations where I'd want someone older in charge, cooler heads and all that.

I think when you see a rigid seniority system in place, it's usually a stand in for a more equitable solution. Sometimes the argument over who gets precedent isn't worth the trouble, and it's easier to just say fuck it and go by seniority. Less fair than some methods, fairer than a lot though too.

If I ever start a nihilistic cult, I'm totally gonna name it this!

10 of the last 10 years were the hottest on record. It's time. I know so many people that will give lip service to the environment and then think nothing of taking multiple flights per year on the flimsiest of pretexts.

And as all too often happens, people go to poorer countries where they get waited on hand and foot, and then act like they're doing some giant favor to the locals. All too often these tourist sights end up being an unmitigated natural disaster, not to mention locking the locals out of their own back yard.

And then they'll turn around and claim they're "helping the local economy" trying to justify it. It's colonialism by another name. If they paid fair wages to the workers these vacations would become much more expensive, perhaps prohibitively so.

And wtf is wrong with you, you can't relax in your own region? Gonna cook the planet because you can't be happy and relax in your own hemisphere. Y'all need to chill it with the air travel!

The wiki says it was transferred to Europe via the middle east. It seems obvious the Arabic numerals we use today are so much easier to work with than Roman numerals.

Was there a noticeable uptick in trade simply because bookkeeping became so much easier? Was there a noticeable uptick in the complexity and pervasiveness of monied, as opposed to in kind, daily trade in all levels of society?

It seems like the humble zero hit the scene and next thing you know the Renaissance is getting under way.

I left this pic in a comment on another post, but she's so cute I figured it deserved its own post.

It starts getting warm and she wants in and out dozens of times a day.

She had to get shaved after a tree sap incident.

Her fur was getting too clumped up. Think she got into some tree sap or something.

I've been using torrent quest, which recently went down. I really liked the no bs interface. Rarbag and all those others just don't stack up. Any recommendations would be great
