Even things that don't use plastic packaging have plastics in their packaging - airtight seals on the inside of jar lids and the coating on the inside of soup cans come to mind. Can definitely reduce plastic consumption but I don't think going plastic free is possible unless you're raising your own food and the seeds/feed also come in plastic free packaging..
Yeah we mostly want one for the space savings and our constant forgetting of moving stuff to the dryer, think it'd be nice to just throw in one machine and come back to finished laundry later.
Can't help with the towels sticking issue, but how do you like the unit? Wife and I are considering getting one of those GE heat pump combo units this year.
I'm not that guy, but I don't think so. The trend will likely be that we get to the point where we render and display in such a high resolution that you can't even see pixels anymore. We're getting there already with smaller 4k displays where turning on AA doesn't have an appreciable difference in 4k native rendering.
Oh oops, my bad.
Nah. My older 1080p stuff remains, but I just do 4k only now. Media server is powerful enough to transcode to 1080 on the fly for any device that can't handle 4k, or for slower network conditions.
It does, but it's not a subscription - one time purchase of like $3.50 is what I paid. No idea if the price has changed.
Using your comment to plug Boost - what was my favorite Reddit app is now my favorite Lemmy app.
I use Linux Mint, mostly because I'm familiar with it. If I was to redo it, I would likely just run Debian.
