Tape to Tape hockey has getting my most play time. Perfect deck game.
I'm curious what makes it a great deal on a Linux machine? It seems like pretty niche (i.e. expensive) hardware for any other purpose than handheld gaming.
On the high end, the Tempest weather station is pretty great and integrates nicely over the weatherflow2mqtt integration. Obviously, this is far, far more than just temperature, but worthb thinking about.
This is what I do for my whole-floor dehumidifier in my basement. Simple zwave smart plug and taking a mean of several humidity sensors in the basement to trigger on and off. Also have my home theater down there so I turn if off when a movie is playing as it's slightly loud when running.
This is why they aren't useful around the house for me. I will say that I regularly use the one glued to the outside trim of my garage door (white on white trim so completely hidden dot) to open and close my garage when out biking with the family. That's actually really useful.
Agreed, I literally can't think of a real world situation that this could happen in. Same thing with people arguing about unsecured zwave devices.
Same boat. I was essentially just a lurker in the subreddit so don't expect anything different from me here, but hoping this community grows into something great.
What are the devices dropping? Certain brands don't always follow the full ZigBee spec as they should and often have issues when not paired with their proprietary hubs. Aqara is the classic example: their hub works brilliantly with their devices, but pair them to a standard ZigBee stick and you're at the mercy of the ZigBee gods.
What add on was that? HA OS add ons are simply docker containers themselves- you should have been able to create it outside of HA OS just fine.
Add ons are docker containers. The main advantage of HA OS is that the add on docker images are configured for you vs you having to edit a few parameters.
Also, there isn't really any inherent stability difference between HA OS and docker. If anything, i'd give the slight nod to docker running on a stable Linux flavor, but YMMV. I've been running the HA docker via Unraid for years alongside ~30 other docker "add ons" (many have nothing to do with HA) without any stability issues.
