its more like it's not safe any more. car infrastructure has been built up so much around here that nobody lets their kids out. when I was a kid we only came home to eat and sleep and I could bike anywhere without worrying about anything. A family generally only had one car, maybe a second for work use, but now everone in the household has their own.

I don't think that even matters. There are plenty of people that would surely be best simply deleted regardless of their affiliation. The us needs a revolution at this point. canada isn't even that far behind. our former liberal party in the last while changed their name, then just fused with the conservative party. so now we are also down to two parties plus a bunch of effectively useless riffraff.

No its just missing AI. If they add AI in another expansion they can save the game. You can ask any corporate exec and they will agree.

I see this everywhere I go. I used to work a job that had a lot of black people along with other minority groups. I had three separate filipino people and one Indian person ask how I can talk so naturally with the black guy I talked with frequently there. I think one of them just had the hots for him, but the others asked if I don't find him scary. Like what the actual fuck he's easily one of the nicest guys I have met. We would talk tech daily and discuss things like how to make computers easier to use for our grandparents and prevent them from being scammed. But it kept happening. The job has high turnover so new people would come in and be scared of him for no reason. What the hell were they seeing that I wasn't? I still don't get it and I think about it a lot because he was like model level handsome with a natural smile that I would have thought nobody could ever distrust. I guess my childhood belief that good looking people had it easy was even more wrong than I thought.

I totally get you on the gifts thing though. I don't visually express emotions like other people and have gotten to the point where I just tell people not to get me anything since I'm incapable of expressing gratitude whether it's there or not. I really wish I had a solution here for both of us.

nothing will ever top my smash bros melee hours. I could start now and I simply wouldn't be able to do it even if I picked the game I already have the next most hours in. I am also entirely unlikely to add any hours to melee, but it still wouldn't be feasible.

or maybe make life here more affordable and less miserable so people don't seek out literally anything that will make them temporarily feel better or a risky bet on an easy way out

yeah now its brutal for anyone trying to make a living and excellent for anyone who already inherited a living and has more money than they could use in multiple lifetimes. I'd hate to go back to when it was just brutal for anyone trying to make a living.
