What do you guys think about Walmart+? Service has good value, or just another way a company can suck more money out of consumers while providing the bare minimum of service and quality?

I'm playing this game right now and it's honestly a six out of 10. The only reason to launch the game at all is because of the world design which is top notch. So top notch it scores all of those six points, because the plot characters story and gameplay are all a let down otherwise. This is the type of game that will disable the controls for your magical flying broom and then tell you that you need to climb a wall. I wish it wasn't so successful so they didn't think this formula was so good, because if they made the game actually good AND a Harry Potter property, that would have really been something special. But as it is now, it's just an uninspired video game painted in a pretty coat of a popular franchise. I'm sure we'll get a sequel.

I'm glad everyone is having fun with this one, but I'm gunna post my steam review for the small percentage of people who didn't fall in love with this game:

Hehhhh....It's okay. I don't know. It's like everything is good about it, but nothing is "great" about actually playing it? The visual style is fantastic, and I love the blend of pixel art and 3D, and the art in the sushi making cutscenes is exceptionally well done! But other than that...

The plot isn't very interesting and frankly is quite derivative. The characters are all eccentric and aloof, which makes everything seem not very serious or important like a children's cartoon.

The fishing is OK, but marred by some irritating development choices. You can't aim directly up or down, for one. Getting attacked by a fish decreases your oxygen meter because there is no health meter, which can REALLY f*** you over if you're deep and frankly makes no sense. There's also a bassy Matrix-style bullet time slowdown sound effect every time you pull out your harpoon. This sound gets really irritating when you're pulling in 30 tiny fish quickly.

The restaurant mechanics are more of a required chore than a fun section. They only last about 2 minutes tops, and the only things keeping them from being challenging and easy is how many other staff you've unlocked because it's virtually impossible to do anything by yourself (it takes your character quite literally 4-5x longer to pour a beer as it does any of your other staff), so doing the restaurant sections is less about time management or making recipes, but more about seeing how your current staff perform and trying to sell the highest price fish you can to make money. The money is used to decorate your sushi bar but decorating it doesn't change anything at all. Once you get 2-3 staff hired and upgraded (only takes maybe 15 hours) the only things you have to do anymore during the restaurants section is clean up dishes and grate wasabi for the cooks. Why can't we learn how to cook?? Why can't we upgrade ourselves so we can work as fast as the servers we hire? Why do you get DEMOTED (to a bus boy!) the longer you play?? I don't know...this section just seems really strange and unnecessary gameplay-wise, which is interesting because it's literally the entire reason the rest of the game exists.

I wasn't going to type so much about this game, but here I am. I was on the fence, but I'm going to not recommend this game. It's too far into development for much to change, and I don't think there is enough originality or payoff here to justify the cost for entry and time required to play.

P.s. People need to stop f***ing eating sharks. There is a lot of shark murder and eating in this game. It physically makes you deliver a shark head on a plate after murdering it to a guest who has a positive emotional experience and cries over how delicious it is. It's pretty gross. I don't really care if it's culturally acceptable, STOP MURDERING SHARKS.

This was a very unsatisfying article. The weirdness they are describing, is just the owner of the flash drive hired somebody else and they're waiting for them to solve it because this other team did it without permission. They weren't offering a reward for anybody to crack it or anything, they literally just decided to do it all by themselves. So the weird thing is that a random hacking team was presumptuous to assume the owner of the flash drive would jump at the opportunity to pay them for their services that weren't even requested to begin with. Not very weird. Put the bulk of the article isn't even about that, it's more of a long-winded story about how awesome this hacking group is for figuring it out in the first place? I almost want to say this is an ad or a paid piece. Maybe to try to convince the data stick owner to call them? I dunno.

Ultimately I feel like reading this was a waste of my time though.

It's so cool how they're shedding employees when their game store doesn't even have basic features like product reviews

Even more reason for GPUs for PC gaming to continue increasing in price and scarcity. Awesome!

One of the most recognizeable brands from the past 20 years is suddenly changing it's branding and throwing all that recognition into the trash. I don't know why people keep acting like this isn't worth talking about. I don't give two shits about musk or Twitter and don't even have Twitter accounts or whatever, but even I recognize this is a noteworthy change (and his reasons for doing it) for the world.

The whole Reddit debacle has really made me rethink all my services. I recently installed duck duck go and still getting used to it, so not quite sure if I'm ready to make another drastic change.

I used to love Firefox in 2006 or so, but got Chrome when it was released and forgot about Firefox. I think I'll open a tab in my chrome browser for the Firefox page now...this is how I remind myself to delve deeper into stuff later. Thanks for the inspiration, everyone. Google has irked me ever since removing the Don't Be Evil mantra.

This is happening to me a number of times now and I can't figure out why. I'll be trying to have a conversation through comments and I'll run into a commenter I want to reply to from kbin, And I'll type up my comment and get ready to hit post but then it just fails over and over. I've only noticed it on that server

I've been playing the original again and it's the first time since the big backwards update from Below Zero, and for the most part I'm appreciating the improvements. But I'm wondering if anyone has noticed any weirdness with progression now? It's hard for me to tell since playing it after you know everything is so much different, but it really feels like they piled on too many blueprints right around when you get the all purpose circular room. Suddenly I have all these rooms and glass options on top of the normal game progression, and it sort of feels...dirty? Like I got end game content too soon? It's like there's barely anything to unlock anymore and I haven't even made it to the lost river. I think I wish they put a little more thought into the timing of dropping.tvose blueprints, or maybe even hiding them in the game world.

Is there anything you've noticed different in the game that you like playing after the update? That you didn't like? It does run smoother in general so that's nice, way less popping!

Thanks for reading ✌️

This one really shocked me, too! I got a Fitbit to monitor my heart rate because of a genetic condition, but fast forward a couple years and I'm running a mile and exercising multiple times a week.

Didn't see that coming, but a nice result!

Tbh, I hate the Fitbit though. I hate that it's owned by Google and they charge me to see my own data. I'd love to switch, but I can't find alternatives that check all the boxes from a Charge 5....

Edit: if you're looking to get a Fitbit and wanna save some money, thrift stores often have electronic sections full of em! My bf got his charge 5 for 50$ from a goodwill. Same one 100$ more in the target across the street.

Are you joking?? What sort of super extrovert are you, and why do you think everyone is like that? I've never been to Disney world or wherever and it's SPECIFICALLY because of what you just typed!! Bloody nightmare. Just get me a cabin somewhere.
