Tower Unite this is the game my friends and spend the most time in casually, it has so many mini games and it's just weird too.

I didn't think it was that bad, but I also binged it all at once and there is a noticeable decline as the show goes on.

Interesting to me that Ohio and Michigan two states that I thought were firmly Midwestern identify less as Midwestern than what I always thought of as the Great Plains states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas.

Yes, but you also have people like my dad, father-in-law, and some of my neighbors who would be perfectly fine without the trucks and large SUVs they have and renting a truck once a year for the time they do need the truck.

It's not just the big box stores that rent trucks, the small town hardware store next to us rents trucks and does free delivery within 3 days of an order and in a 10 mile radius of the store.

So then you get down to towing which could also potentially be solved by renting depending how often or what you're towing. If you're towing something that can't be done by car and doing it often then it probably makes sense to have a large vehicle to do that. Otherwise sensible sized vehicle with towing capacity to tow the thing you need. Our little hatchback with a hitch can tow 2000 lbs.

During the pandemic my wife and I went down to one car and she thought it was going to be a nightmare. Three years in and we are just fine and we have saved a ton of money in gas, insurance, and maintenance costs. Once or twice a year we think it would be nice to have a second car for a specific instance, but not enough to deal with the headache of the additional costs of additional car again.

My point with that last paragraph is that collectively, we have become so ingrained into thinking that it has to be the way it is, that many people are afraid to even try something different. Even when it's going to be greatly beneficial to them over time.

Yeah definitely interested. I was thinking about this other day and looking into how to create a game day bot then my ADHD got the better of me...

I was like 13 comments wow finally the blues Lemmy community/sublemmy what are we calling these things? Is alive and then this... Got a good chuckle out of me.

Pretty happy with Schenn as the captain. I would've been happy with Parayko as well, I would've been curious to see if the C would've helped him step up his play as well.

Excited for the season to start, although not as happy as I usually am this time of year, really enjoying the MLS and St Louis City SC never really watched soccer besides the World Cup. Just something fascinating about it, not sure if it's because it's new to me or that's City is playing so we'll....

I'd still like an extra button and/or squeeze function like the early pixels had. The big thing for me on the ultra while you're in the camera app would be a shutter button like some of Sony Xperia phones have. Being able to double tap the shutter button for the camera could open the power button to open another app or function, also wouldn't mind seeing a triple tap function added to the button as well.

I mostly have. However I do not spend anywhere near as much time on Lemmy as I did on reddit. When all the third party stuff started going down I really started to assess how I used the Internet and had to change things. I was using Sync for Reddit on Average 2.5 hours a day which is just insane. Over the course of a decade it was like a year of real time and was really eye opening how much time I was wasting.

Now I set an app timer for Sync for Lemmy for 1 hour a day I rarely hit it.

I do check reddit, but I do not have an app installed, it's mostly to check something specific rather than endlessly scroll.

Google has some work to do. While the Chromecast with remote is half the price of the Apple TV, the Apple TV blows it out of the water and I think is worth the price. It's the only apple product I own. The integration with apps and sports is just fantastic. Also the Picture in Picture support, works really well. Would really like to see Google match what Apple is doing with their TV device.

Best thing I have found is using the Find Me GF app and then reading through the reviews and calling the restaurant to get a feel for what's safe.

Selling my car and getting an ebike. First few months were rough because I was used to having a car all the time for twenty years. The gas, insurance, registration and maintenance savings add up quick. My wife and I share a car, but I rarely drive it as I've gotten so used to the ebike now. We live in the suburbs, but are close to the light rail train line and bike paths so it made it relatively easy. Over the course of a year we'd typically spend $4000-$5000 on the second car so not having that is a lot of extra money
