Personally, the game I run the most is Shadowrun. Managed to transition my DnD group to Pathfinder 2e and it's great. Pathfinder is DnD but so much better.

Thinking about it, there's a lot in common between the skillsets needed to be competent presidents and lawyers. Both need to be convincing, make a case to an audience, and understand the law.

About the only things I can think of that presidents need to do that has nothing to do with being a lawyer are being the head of the military and making decisions around military operations.

It's actually worse than that. Starvation takes a long time to happen (~3 weeks). Lack of access to water causes death and desperation in a much shorter period of time. If water pipelines and/or pumping facilities get screwed up in any way, cities will become mad max much faster and in a much more intense fashion. In a water-starved population, people are mostly composed of water...

I wish we'd have that level of openness here in Romania. There's plenty of Romanians who think of the Holocaust as a specifically German thing and are wilfully ignorant about our complicity.

Proving that you can and do follow through on existing policy is still a good thing to do.

I knew exactly what song that'd go to, clicked on it anyway, was not disappointed. Love that song.

So, a lot of the time with nut jobs like this, globalists is just a code word for Jews.

However, there is a legitimate dark side to globalism as it's conventionally defined outside of neonazi talking points. Globalism is often used as cover for neocolonialism, where poor countries are "better" for resource extraction because the salaries are low and nobody cares about the environmental costs. Meanwhile, rich countries are "better" for design, financial work, technical jobs, etc because the wealth of the populace means people are better educated.

This traps poorer countries in poverty as the only investments are in low-skill manual labour in an environmentally degraded landscape, while the bulk of the profits go into corporations headquartered in wealthier countries. In other words, systemic wealth extraction.

I know nothing of anime, but saw the post, had a mildly funny though, and decided a slightly off-topic comment was better than no comment

Wh40k: "A go-ood guy? Is that some kind of food?"

Thinking about this joke made me realize that every faction in 40k seems to agree that humans are tasty and nutritious. From imperium corpse starch, Kroot, Tyrranids, Drukhari's suffering-as-sustenance thing, demons, and probably more, I think the only faction utterly disinterested in eating people are the Necrons.

I guess Germans read about the fate of the Eldar & birth of Slaanesh and took that as an instruction guide.
