Yeah, just check the tests, HUB includes per application/game power consumption which is nice as most reviewers only give power consumption on stress tests. The power efficiency is pretty poor rn.

For gaming, go for a R7 7800X3D. Not only is it gonna give you both more average and 1% low FPS, it does that consuming up to +100W less.

how, you can just go scroll thru a few subs and see the pile. Last time I opened a thread to ask about their drivers it was a shit show as well. Wayland still sucks, good luck on mobile with multi monitors, I had to land a old R9 380 I had around to a friend that didn't have a GPU on his desktop 'cause he had a RTX3060 laptop, but it just didnt work for gaming when using linux.

Even for daily use its a challenge, just scroll thru any linux sub and you'll see almost daily problems with nvidia on linux from basic desktop stuff to gaming.

Since you are already in a situation where you need to change the whole plataform for a decent upgrade, just do yourself a favor and grab the R5 7600.

Nah, I already did my line. You can use that one.

well, seems you sticked to AMD thru their worst moments and switched when they were good xD

Also, 5800X is a bad deal anyway, 5700X is the same but runs cooler....And for gaming a i5/R5 are usually the better options anyway.
