Maybe. But he was seen as a competent person. I remember when SpaceX started testing the "reusable" rockets that landed themselves. He was a lot more "popular" back then

Mating season absolutely implies the season during which mating is most probable to occur. There are many animals that follow this behavior despite being able to mate multiple times per year.

One good example from the top of my head is wild boar. They can pretty much mate all year round if they so wish. But choose not to. Their mating season is in spring, which is also the only time you're not allowed to hunt them.

It's actually the mother that will keep an eye on her young and make sure they stick to their mating season. If you shoot the mother, her children might just start mating at irregular times and thus bearing young multiple times per year, which isn't that great considering they are an invasive species in a lot of countries.

You're making a lot assumptions here.

For one. You don't have to be a vegan to care about biodiversity. It is as simple as choosing to care and being selective in sourcing your groceries. That goes for produce as well. Since many farmers use pesticides that kill bees, or fertilizers that damages ground water.

I know you have different morals when it comes to choice of protein. But that does in no way prohibit one from caring about species as a whole.

Please explain how someone is being a hypocrite for caring about species that are heading towards extinction

No animal, be it pets or animals raised for slaughter, should live in pain or be exposed to unessesary stress.

That should answer your question.

Or the less insane idea of not breeding them in the first place.

Probably because they were busy hunting the other ones...

Mink whales are not the only whales. But good on you for finding one that isn't yet critically endangered

No. I will continue to be more upset over the animals we breed and keep in chronic, prolonged pain over the span of 12-15 years for no other reason than our own entertainment. Than I am over animals we raised for slaughter.

That doesn't mean i think cattle should be kept in deplorable conditions or be exposed to unnecessary stress.

Crazy that some seem to suggest you can't care about whales heading towards extinction without being a level 6 Vegan.

It's amazing that you can type out that novel and not once realize that whales are going towards extinction.

Have you seen "the prestiege"? I think that movie explains the problem perfectly.

It's also a really good movie so enjoy.

"The dogs are fine as long as they don't do stuff that dogs typically do".

Great stuff.

Obvious cheating/exploiting whatever you want to call it. When someone calls down twenty-eleven stratagems in a matter of seconds. And we can't even report it?

When will people learn? Seriously. They keep touching fire and act equally surprised every time they get burned.

No Man's Sky. (Great now but holy hell was it a shit show)

Cyberpunk

Diablo IV

Far Cry 6

StarField

And now this latest Assasins Creed: Mirage.

Probably forgetting plenty of recent releases too that just faded into nothingness.

Personally, I'll be starting Batman Arkham Asylum this weekend. Heard it was pretty good. Should keep me busy for a while.

She is strong and wise and I'm very proud of her
