Stop playing them and introduce your friends to emulation. That worked for me, and playing Zelda or whatever was way better than any mobile game, even with janky mobile controls.

Man, I miss early mobile gaming. There was a period where you could go down the trending list and find quite a few interesting games. Now its flooded with rip offs, trash, and gacha games. You'll occasionally find one where the dev cared, but the majority of anything worth playing there are just mobile ports of console/PC games.

IDK, the early days was still crap, just less crap than today. Most games were filled with banner ads, and if they weren't, they would be soon if they got any kind of traction. Once they found out they could get away with charging MTX for more than removing ads (e.g. pay to play like Candy Crush), everything got way worse.

Once I realized that there weren't that many diamonds in the rough, I installed an emulator and had a way better mobile gaming experience, and I did that like 10 years ago. And to this day, I can only recommend mobile ports and emulation, the vast majority of mobile first/only games suck.

I'm surprised 17% of them are still going 3 years later.

Yeah... Why is that the success condition. It's okay to make games that end.

I’m surprised it’s not in the 90’s. Mobile games are garbage.

A lot of the ones I see are within months

Pro tip: don't bother with mobile gaming at all. If you want to play games on your phone, install an emulator or buy mobile ports of good games, you'll have a much better experience.
