Do yourself a favour, skip the article and watch the documentary -- it's an hour long and well worth it if you're even remotely interested in gaming.

Oh, yeah. The important thing was that I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have any white onions, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

I thought the documentary explained that a few (soda machines) were also made by the wife of another dev who had to quit after giving birth to a special-needs daughter.

So not "all", just "most"?

Having all scenery art direction by one person helped keep the look of the world uniform and similar.
