What thefuck does that mean?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (1 children)

It's a pun on PC LOAD LETTER, which is an old error message roughly meaning "load letter paper into the paper cartridge". The other person thought you replied to the other² person.

Printer-cat, Printer-cat,

Does whatever a printer can

Prints your paper, any size,

Out of ink, what a surprise

Look Out!

Here sits the printer cat.

It it me or I just read it in tune of Particle men. Or is it a parody of particle men.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 10 months ago (1 children)

It's to the tune of the 1967 Spider-Man TV show theme. I imagine the particle man song also references it.

I thought it was paw patrol

"But... It's warm! Warm things are meant for sitting on!"

[–] [email protected] 12 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I know right? My first thought was put a heating pad on the windowsill, and the cat will be much more likely to choose that spot.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 10 months ago

I permanently lured my friend's cat from sitting on her (warm) laptop power brick by getting the cat a heated cat bed.

What are they feeding you?

[–] [email protected] 26 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Cats prefer higher temperatures than humans. Give them any other warm thing to sit on and they will sit there instead.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Why not get the cat a heated blanket instead?

[–] thewitchslayer 21 points 10 months ago

If you buy something for a cat, they won't use it.

[–] [email protected] 20 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Ok, but there's another cat who is approved to be on the printer?? What's their story?

[–] [email protected] 12 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I that that's him in the window

[–] [email protected] 14 points 10 months ago (1 children)

That's him in the spot. light.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 10 months ago

Losing his religion?

Task failed successfully.

Cats apparently freak out on tinfoil when they land. It’s a great way to train them off your counter tops.

Though do provide them alternative places to be and paths to where they like to go- cats like to be up where they can see everything, so cat shelves to a cat cave etc or a stool near where you’re working, will encourage them off counters, or desks. Especially with the tinfoil scaring them every time the try and make the jump.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 10 months ago

This recommendation gets passed around a lot online, but usually doesn't include the reason why it works so well. From a scientific standpoint, it's because cats movement works off of 5G, which is reflected by heavy gauge tinfoil when the shiny side is facing out. It's not surprising that sites mostly controlled by the government don't want that information distributed.

Unless you’re my cat who doesn’t give a hoot about foil

Who would have thought that a box of all things would be a useful cat repellant.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 10 months ago

using a box as a cat deterrent seems like a fools errand

[–] [email protected] 5 points 10 months ago

What even is the downside here? Copycats? When has more kitties ever been a problem?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 10 months ago (2 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 10 months ago
