There's a famous saying in Brazilian football: "there are things that only happen to Botafogo".

On days like these you can definitely see where that comes from

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Huh I knew Rafael (Da Silva) played for Botafogo, today I found out that his twin Fabio plays for Gremio. Funny that.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Surprising burst of acceleration, the old man's still got some legs on him!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

They're actively trying to lose the title

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I turned this game on randomly and I witnessed a Luiz Suarez classic. No regrets.

This Botafogo collapse is one for the history books.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Poor Botafogo, being beaten by two stars from different generations in consecutive weeks🤣

We're all watching history, the biggest choke ever, in any sport.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

He is a superstar not a bobo like mbappe

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Bottleneckfogo getting rinsed with champagne from Suarez

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Be doing this at inter soon

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

How many pts were botafogo leading the league the last I checked was around matchday 18-22 and it was like 14-18 pts or close to that

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Cant convince me this man wouldn’t start at Barca still

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Legendary hat trick.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

im sure Gremio fans are more than happy with Suarez even if he only played for one season with the team. insane how at his age he’s still such a decisive player that can turn around a match like that

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Just CLOSE this club... It's not even selling, it's CLOSING DOWN ACTIVITIES.

Botafogo, Grêmio and Palmeiras with 59 points. Bragantino with 58, Flamengo with 56 and Atlético Mineiro with 54.

There are five games to go (Flamengo and Botafogo have a game in hand).

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Suarez is amazing (LOL at the Inter Miami fans I've seen trying to say he would be bad for Miami)

But this is really hilarious choking from Botafogo too

There are no words capable of describing the joy of seeing this caliber of a player playing with our jersey.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Biggest bottle job I have ever seen. They turned two 3x1 into 3x4 in a FUCKING WEEK

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago
[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

The bottle job

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Wow wow wow this is unbelievable.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Now Suárez had the honour of scoring a hat-trick in São Januário and it wasn’t against us.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

dortmund takes bottling classes from botafogo

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

WTF, Suarez still got it

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

If Botafogo bottle this, it might actually be the biggest bottling in human history

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

They already did bottle this. there are 3 teams in range of 0-1 points.

Now they either recover or just fall down. With their recent form i can easily see them finish 4-6th.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Botafogo fans are losing it. One of them made a video blaming CR7 for this.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

What does CR7 has to do with Botafogo?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Clutch is not enough to describe this man

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

unfuckingbelivable

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

How many games are to be played after this in the league?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Suarez is too good for South American football. Too bad he won’t stay for one more season to play Libertadores. 🥲

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I know many people don't want to hear it, and this is coming from someone who grew up around R9, but Luis Suarez is definitely the best Striker of his generation by a considerable gap from Lewandowski, Benzema, Aguero and Kane. Ill even further the point that Suarez is better and greater than R9 in the sport, but many people do not want to entertain that.

Suarez has seemingly gone to every team he has ever played for an succeeded individually and almost nearly (outside of Liverpool) won a league title. Even though he didn't win something with Liverpool, he was undoubtably the best player in the Prem till he left and his last season is one of, if not the best season the PL has seen individually.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago (2 children)

The Suarez vs Lewandoski debate is the most braindead talking point in football imo. Lewa was banging in goals for a super team vs nobodies from the bundesliga while suarez was pulling historically clutch moment out of nowhere year after year. Especially win kane now and how lewa is doing its beyond clear that lewa needed bayern more than bayern needed him.

I could care less about champions league stats, anyone who’s watched both of them seriously with their own eyes sees there’s 0 debate

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Agree with the rest of your comment but this part is braindead. Bayern isn't always as dominant as they look in results. Lewy has never gotten credit for the periods where Bayern looks a mess and he's carried their dead attack on his shoulders.

He is insane. He shows up when it matters. Against first place team a hattrick

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Suárez and Ronaldo must be the only players that live on the tears of their haters

The more people cry, the more they score

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

BEIJE A PISTOLA IMEDIATAMENTEEEEEE

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

Botafogo crashed and burned hard now. Sucks cause they had a wonderful season prior to their coach leaving for Al-Nassr and along with Tiquinho's injury, oof.
