I can't imagine why someone would watch this instead of looking for the specific video, unless they just need background noise.

Yeah. On WAN they said its testing some YouTube thing for TVs. Apparently they eventually want TV-like curated live channels of content for TV usage. .. or something like that. Still can't imagine watching it lol.

I got rid of linear TV because it was shit. I canceled HBO when it became Max because they started "filling" the channel with all the crap from TLC and Discovery which are part of why I got rid of Cable. I pray Youtube does not go the same route.

Same: No cable here. Imagine a world with a-la-cart TV. I'd pay 1 buck or 2 a month per channel to pick the ones I care about if it came with live and VOD.

I think one day we'll get to that point.. just waiting for regular cable to die off slowly.

So based on what they said on the WAN show they are beta testing the feature with YouTube.
