I liked those games so much when I was a kid, the strategies you have to do to pass the games were so cool

Oh yeah I did, I loved those. Was not good at them, mind you, but I did love them. I had the big box versions of Beyond the Call of Duty, Behind Enemy Lines, and 2.

Not too long ago they released "HD remasters" too. I bought them as I have such a fondness for these games, but haven't actually gotten around to playing them again yet. I don't have much energy these days to really sit down and play these days, especially for a keyboard/mouse game — I sit behind this computer enough as it is for work, if you know what I mean.

Oh cool, I'm gonna buy it, it cost only about 5 USD in my country, I always wonder how does steam for offering games in such a low price

I still like those style of games. If you are looking for more of the same, I can recommend Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. Same concept, but set in Shogun-era Japan. It's frequently on sale on Steam and GoG.

Also Desperados 3, made by the same dev but imo it has slightly better game mechanics and maps. Also, Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew comes out next month.

Ha! I loved Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3. Wasn't even aware this game existed, thanks a lot!

Oh eff. ANOTHER game in the aug-oct months of games I'm looking forward to. 7 games in 3 months, most of them big.

+1 When I first saw this game years ago all that came to mind was Commando's. I still haven't completed it yet, but anyone who liked Commandos will feel right at home with Shadow Tactics.

Fyi: Games by mimimi, while play similar to desperados and comandos back in the day, they aren't exactly the same thought.

In those games, you can start shooting out in a fire fight if shit hit the fan. Newer games treat it as a puzzle instead and you aren't allowed to do so because of cool down and limited ammo. Still filling the gap just fine

I love Commandos 2 and its soundtrack.

I played commandos 3 hd remastered a while ago. That was great for the first 3 or 4 missions. But if you are new to that type of strategy games. Controls feels a bit odd. Other then that it's a fun experience at least for me. You can give it a try. But the game is not easy for me and will maybe for you as well, keep that in mind.

You know what they've been sitting in my library forever. I'm gonna give them a try

Yes and desperados too. I revisited that game and had to appreciate the rich level of detail for mid 90's strategy. Like a "where's Waldo" of killing and sabotage ;)
