Propane is an absolute badass refrigerant in a car AC system... Works way better, pollutes less... People just have issues with the whole explosion thing.

CO2/R744 is the way if you can source the components!

Isn’t R744 equipment much more expensive? The pressures are higher?

They’re expensive mostly market availability of components is still lacking, but it improves by the day.

Much higher pressures - relief valves up to 1740psi on transcritical systems. It sounds scary, but working on a CO2 system is SO much easier imo.
