It is sad that (i) we are not surprised at all, and (ii) the whistleblowing changes nothing for the people on Hong Kong.
Whistle blowing is necessary but not sufficient to bring change.
Money or violence are the options for that.
I would be shocked if social media from ________ country wasn't accessing data from all the users that use the social media platform.
Y'all, always use a good vpn for both data and wifi when protesting. Don't use hotspots.

Don't know, but additional precautions can be taken. i.e.: temporarily disable the app
Or better yet, just don't bring your phone.
