From when it was still cool and niche to be a redditor and you needed to identify each other in public, you could use that sentence.

Lemmy / Kbin is getting to the point where it's cool and niche. Want it or not, you're one of the cool counter-mainstream kids now.

So, what's our secret code phrase?

maybe... (meta reference)

Lemmy isn't reddit. You don't need to copy every thing from reddit.

Let this grow naturally and cool things will develop on their own

Agreed, especially not the absolutely cringiest parts.

This is supposed to be just a fun exercise in creative writing xD

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

No fun allowed!

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago

Whatever it is I don't associate with it because I've always found those to be a bit cringe.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

At the moment, it seems to be, “I can’t poop for 3 days.”

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don’t “want” to poop for three days.

[–] erusuoyera 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Did we ever find out what was up with that guy?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

He just didn’t want to poop in the woods I think.

[–] Zaphodquixote 7 points 1 year ago

You can't decide that kind of thing. If it doesn't happen organically, it won't take off.

Memes evolve in nature with time. We will probably not have memes of the same nature as the memes that happened a decade ago, but memes of a different nature. Find out soon which memes come up after the reddit mass migration and defederation fearmongering craze 😌

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Oh fuck. Whatever evolves, I hope it's not about 3 days or poop.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I'm so so sorry.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

It’s still less cringy than “the narwhal bacons at midnight”, so that’s a plus

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago
[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Unfortunately so far I'm it has to do with not pooping for three days...

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

"The counterculture can't count."

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Maybe:

  • "The Lemmy kicks at noon"
  • "The Lemmy headbangs at midnight"
  • "The Lemmy rocks at dawn"
  • "The Lemmy shreds at dusk"
  • "The Lemmy jams at sunset"

Nice try but all the cool in-crowd get issued with the countersign phrase when they sign up. If you didn't get one...

Now I wrote it down on a bit of paper but seem to have misplaced it, so if some kind person would DM it to me that'd be much appreciated.

How about "I fuck my body pillow every night"?

Just shout it out every few minutes in a public place to find other lemmings

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago

Unfortunately that phrase has already been taken by 4chan's /a/nime board.
