First rule of consumer grade printers: Never buy HP.

Second rule of consumer grade Printers: Never buy a multi-function (printer plus anything else) printer.

Third rule of consumer grade printers: Never buy an inkjet printer.

These three rules solve 95% of consumer printer issues.

Hewlett-Packard is just a Brother advertising campaign that got wildly out of hand.

I've had the best luck with Brother laser printers. For scanning, I highly recommend NAPS2. It's free, and so much better than the vendor software that comes with the scanners I've used.

Ah, love naps2. I've installed it for so many clients when setting up their scanner.
