I buy on meta store as I usually have a ton of referral discounts. If it has enhanced graphics I'll play the pcvr cross play version over virtual desktop. I think the performance is actually better than the steam version with the VD openxr runtime.

Good news, this is one I was eyeing but never bought. Hopefully they can stay solvent.

Could be great for families/spouses that only have 1 headset to play together. Thought they've been pretty slow on the roll out, I think it was first announced at least a year ago.

This looks pretty good, I'm waiting for the multiplayer for the editor portion.

Ha, I thought this was a new metroid. I was like this doesn't look anything like I thought it would.

Yeah I'm waiting for the patch to start this.

I'm gonna test it, not buy. Not really a headset for gamers.

Too bad the latency is really high encoding/decoding. I was really hoping the q3 would have a faster decoding, and Nvidia 4x didn't really help speed encoding either.

Been waiting for this for a long time. Here's a list of tested games: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZcjCQwzPOltaRZnpYU5_HPihEDareZq_0Ww1DZQ4USw/htmlview

So many games don't know where to start. Any recommendations for top puzzle/adventure games that are now playable in VR? Similar to shadowpoint, monkey Island, red matter, floor plan, ect.

I recall in death being a special situation where there was a totally different development team for the quest version versus the steam version.

Voip.ms ( though it's more business oriented)

This guy is my favorite reviewer, any recommendations for others you trust?

I wonder if this would enable hip base movement like the decamove did?

Seems like good picks to me

This course is absolutory outstanding. Incredible visuals, design, and mechanics. I can't image how they'd ever top this.

These always look amazing, so much better than most of the youtube low bitrate stuff. Here is additional videos he's done: https://creator.oculus.com/community/2319730815002569/

This looks amazing, I can't wait to try.

All these of these have great potential, post your impressions. All are on Quest with Ghostbusters and Foundation also on PSVR2. I'm not seeing any PCVR support though.

Meta offers a 25% referral link for apps $10 and above (may be restrictions outside of US). Meta-Dog randomizes your links so everyone has an equal chance - use that site instead of posting your individual links.

Steam has a seasonal sale that often features many VR titles, as well as various theme based sales in between. Use the wishlist feature to be notified when your games go on sale.

https://www.humblebundle.com/ - Often has great "pay what you want" sales of up to 80% off. Usually it's PCVR but they do get native Quest titles occasionally.

https://www.viveport.com/ - Subscription based PCVR stating at $9/month. They usually have a great annual black friday deal. Good way to start out and try lots of titles, but new titles are usually quite delayed from the original release.

Post you impressions and discuss here.

Welcome everyone to Lemmy.world's Virtual Reality Community. I am the new mod of this and the !MetaQuest community. My first order of business is merging the communities and making this the primary one. There is quite a bit of overlap in VR technologies and most developers are targeting multiple headsets.

We also need a new banner/logo design. Submit your design below, the winner will receive a meta app of their choice valued up to $20USD.

I'm going to start a pinned thread for any Quest3 news/reviews/impressions to keep them together.

Let's get some upvotes and discussions going!

Because of the small size of the VR community and the amount of cross-system software titles we are going to consolidate VR discussion at [email protected]. Please post there in the future.

Looks fun, I was almost expecting this from the Mighty Coconut studio, I think they had a similar AR mobile game before VR.
