They have to know how ridiculous that request is. Fuck asking someone to work 75 hours a week at all is already ridiculous. And it sure was shit eliminates the possibility that this person could have another job to take care of themselves, which they'd need as your offered pay barely covers a tank of gas these days, let alone food, rent and basic utilities. Oh, and they think someone can work 13 hours a day watching their 4 your children and still go to school? Take this person's kids away; they've clearly been doing way too much crack.

Or it was fake to begin with? I first saw this years ago. And this is the Internet.

Bro everyone know it was Newton, he wrote it in Philosophiae Naturalis Principia Mathematica

No, I believe it was Aristotle that said, "This generation no longer cares for the wisdom and advice of their elders! They instead seek opinions from their social networks! Now excuse me while I listen to his wise old angry person who agrees with me..."

They're taking the piss and everyone in this thread is buying it except us. 😆

6am to 7pm. Somebody doesn't even like their kids and doesn't want anything to do with them.

prefer u are in or went to college.

When exactly are you supposed to go there if you spend your whole day with this person's spoiled brats.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 year ago

collage

Need to have been in art projects

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago

This is very obviously not real.

[–] [email protected] 75 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"No one wants to work anymore!"

[–] [email protected] 21 points 1 year ago

it's just because they're conservative obviously, all part of the liberal agenda to discriminate against conservatives.

[–] [email protected] 63 points 1 year ago

Correction: collage degree. They literally can't even spell "college". Thank god they're smart enough to know they shouldn't be raising their kids, too bad they're too cheap or broke to afford the help they clearly need.

[–] [email protected] 37 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Even if this post was made the day Facebook was founded, that pay is atrocious. And it’s for a collage student!

How are they supposed to finish their beautiful collage with a bunch of kids everywhere!?

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (2 children)

That's why the pay is ~~$0.86~~ $1.15/hr. They deduct for child labor assistance with the collages.

Edit: my maths suck lol

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (2 children)

$1.15/hr, but that's not really any better.

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh right, I flipped the numbers lol

[–] [email protected] 5 points 1 year ago

No worries! I do stuff like that all the time, hah.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

.866/hour, or .2166 per child per hour.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

So the minimum wage from 1961.

[–] [email protected] 35 points 1 year ago (1 children)

All the extra money probably went into the drug tests and criminal background checks.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago

Probably paying extra for the platinum hair tests too lmao can't have that DevILs LeTtuCe.

Or better yet, probably not paying at all, the candidate has to pay out of pocket for all that for the interview lolol

[–] [email protected] 32 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Why female only if they're all boys?

[–] [email protected] 87 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

"conservative only" = "raising kids is womens work."

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago

Can't be sure, but when I was growing up in rural America the belief was that if a boy was watching kids (already 'women's' work) then there was a higher likelihood they'd be touched. If the kids were girls, even applying for the job would have gotten you some flack.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

Because only men can be pedophiles, of course.

[–] [email protected] 31 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I can be in a collage if they want. Weird request

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

For a $1 an hour I'm willing to let my hair down

[–] [email protected] 26 points 1 year ago

Ah, rage bait from the beforetimes.

[–] [email protected] 24 points 1 year ago

we're heavily christian

we're abusive

Well geez

[–] [email protected] 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Isn't this just satire (or maybe rage bait if taken seriously)?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 10 months ago

It probably was or some stupid story behind it like she was trying to argue that she can't find any sitter so therefore X.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago

the only way this would happen is if you had the person's living arrangements/food covered, and the person is your mom.

[–] [email protected] 18 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I don't see why people are upset, if they are willing to pay $75/hour, they should get to set who they want to hire.

Wait? $75/week? That is what you would pay the 5 yr old in allowance in a couple years if they took on the job.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

$75 per week? Of course not, don't be ridiculous!

It's 75 cents per week.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Best to just get a legit nursery if they want that qualification lol, their charge is also non-negotiable so it's like 95% of what the OP listed.

[–] [email protected] 11 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Where I live that would be about $2,400 a week for daycare, or about $1,200 per week (minimum) for a live in nanny.

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

A live in nanny is half the price of normal daycare AND I don't have to drop the kids off anywhere?? Lmao sign me TF up lolol

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 year ago (2 children)

The live in nanny would be half price?

[–] [email protected] 6 points 1 year ago

You'd also have to supply them their own room and food.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Daycare cost go up more per kid, nanny only goes up a couple dollars an hour per kid.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

You sure a nanny? Where I live, that could get an au pair (pre-COViD rates)

[–] [email protected] 10 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Everyone talking about the low pay when I'm sitting here thinking "75 what? Diamonds?" If I get to pick what you give me 75 of then this might be worth it.

[–] EmoDuck 9 points 1 year ago

You would make a great math teacher

[–] [email protected] 1 points 5 months ago

It's 75 bananas. Which by my calculation is equivalent to $750

[–] [email protected] 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

you know they are not doing any background test

methany soon will hoodwink them

[–] [email protected] 2 points 11 months ago

If they are in one of the third world countries where the minimal daily wage like 1 USD/day, it is possible.
