Don't leave out reliving past mistakes and regrets! That's the good stuff.

Man what I would give to fall asleep in 10 seconds

[–] [email protected] 10 points 2 years ago

My husband will literally say "I'm going to sleep" and go to sleep. It can take me up to 8 hours to fall asleep while I toss and turn and fight panic and depression. However, I did get to work night shift for awhile, and realized that when I go to bed at 8:00 am I can be the asleep in 10 seconds person! I miss night shift. Instead of being tired and miserable all day and laying awake all night except for a few hours of fitful sleep, I slept like the dead for 6-7 hours during the day and felt absolutely alive and awake and happy during my waking night hours. Apparently my circadian rhythm is flipped and so when I try to live "normal" hours my brain responds by sending me into a spiral of doom and worsening mental health.

I am the former, and my wife the latter. How did you know?

Stop spying on me while I sleep!

Edit: attempt to sleep!

god, the hours I've spent awake uncomfortable, unable to move or distract myself to not wake my gf up are uncountable because each of them felt like they were infinitely many hours long

Can relate.

I'm in this meme and I don't like it.

No, I'm not the one falling asleep fast (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻)

Pretty much, every relationship I’ve been in has had this dynamic. I’m the anxious night and every fucking one of the people I’ve dated has been a quick sleeper. So annoying.

This is my husband and I. He HATES it when I complain that I can't sleep after being in bed for only 5 minutes and I'm still awake.

My wife is both of these. She falls asleep in ten seconds, but I often find her lying awake at 3am in a spiral over some file she's struggling to reconcile at work.

My gf says she falls asleep a few mins after I do, which is within 5-10 mins of laying down. Something about my breathing pattern apparently.

You should go to therapy if you're having trouble sleeping

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 years ago

I just got my prescription for therapy. I want to fall asleep quickly, too

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Medicine has helped me with the former

Used to be Type A. Now I'm almost Type B. Therapy saves lives.
