Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

Actually surprised that Elon Musk didn't just cut out the concubines and just go straight to cloning.
He's not going to announce that he had backup organs made for himself.

I'm fairly close there are clones out there.

Why not just put all the money into making labgrown meat that can be engineered to be that perfect?
This isnt like the clone is grown in a vat, their DNA is used in embryos and implanted into a mare. This is not cost effective for meat production.
Lab grown meat is a thing nowadays but is still relatively small scale compared to farming. It claims to be more environmental friendly but I personally doubt that.
Because they're two completely different things, for starters.
Once again, people believe that genes are the animal. Twin studies have consistently shown that despite substantial similarities, nature favors difference between clones. If they expect the animals to be identical and never pay attention to the differences, then they will continue to ignore that the code is designed to be flexible.
Cloning plants is an essential part of the flower industry, so I'm not surprised. You get one "perfect" specimen, and you can make money off of it forever. And many people would rather have that than the surprise of a natural organism that may not be as "perfect".
