Really? I thought he was still doing opinion pieces in a conservative paper... I stopped paying attention after the Greta comment.
Tl;Dr of it all is one of those opinions was how stupid Brexit was, the science behind global warming convinced him once he actually looked at it, and he doesn't want trans people to be sent to camps even if he's not an ally.
So in the end he's one of those conservatives that is actually capable of learning but is too self interested and generally dickish to do it himself, but the cultural osmosis will get him eventually since he doesn't live in an alternate reality, just an ignorant one.
Yeah if there's one Brit who isn't alright it's that douchebag.
