Why wouldn’t they? The party doesn’t appear to support democratic values anyway. Why should they care what voters want?

Conservatism does not support the concept of democracy at all. It's a monarchist/oligarchist political philosophy.
Utah passed a law preventing public sector unions from collective bargaining. We collected enough signatures opposing to get an item on the ballot in 2026. The fight definitely isn't over but I'm proud that we're successfully fighting back in a state as red as this.
Michigan isn't on this list. We have 10 days early voting, absentee voting, and an independent redistricting committee. All due to ballot initiatives. Reps took control in January, and the first thing they did was file a lawsuit against all of those. They say the ballot initiatives are unconstitutional because state legislatures have sole responsibility for voting regulations.
Yeah well I can tell you that living in one these dumbasses here will continue to vote them in anyway. Why should they care? Their dumbass voters won't ever not vote them in.
