My headset broke, which mates me sceptical of buying the more expensive one.
The 3D Pulse also didn’t really do anything special, they were kind of an underwhelming purchase for me.

Sony may have quietly discontinued a PS5 accessory, replacing it with a more expensive, higher-end model. Players began noticing the disappearance of Pulse 3D wireless headset as far back as six months ago, and now, it’s not available to purchase on PS Direct either. PS5 players unhappy with Pulse 3D headset potentially being discontinued
Sony didn’t officially announce the discontinuation of the Pulse 3D model, but we’ve seen reports from various regions that it’s no longer available in stores. Pulse 3D has presumably been replaced by the Pulse Elite, which costs more.
Some players have been left frustrated by the change. We’ve seen a number of threads pop up on gaming forums, with players complaining about issues with the pricey Elite and being unable to find a new Pulse 3D headset.
“I had Elites and Audeze Maxwell, and honestly, I returned to Pulse 3D due to great sound, comfort, and very light weight,” a user wrote on Reddit. “I wanted to get a second pair and it’s kinda unavailable in EU.”
“Why is no one talking about their Pulse headset just disappearing quietly?” another player asked. “I think this is a big deal especially since their other headset [Elite], is still not functioning properly,” they added, referring to complaints of Elite disconnecting frequently.
At the time of this writing, we can confirm that Pulse 3D isn’t available to purchase via PS Direct.
