Vintergatan in Sweden. Winter way. We only talk about the weather.

In our species defense, boobs are literally the first thing most of us see/remember, and the most important part of our nutritional journey in our lives, by far.

Plus, who doesn't like some boobs?

Andromeda, that's who. We've always been at war with Andromeda.

Counterexample:

Andromeda herself, a woman wearing a red space jumpsuit

The Czech translation of "mammals" is savci, the Slovak translation is cicavce, and the Polish translation is ssaki. All of these (to my knowledge) literally mean suckers, because we like sucking tits.

Säugetier in german. Basically "Suckling animal".

I’m a stupid, stupid man. Can someone help me understand that last part, “tit-goo path tit-goo-thing”?

Tit-goo = milk.

Galaxy = milk/milky.

Way = path.

"Tit-goo path" = milky way.

"Tit-goo path tit-goo thing" = milky way galaxy.

Yep. I’m a stupid, stupid man.

"Tit-goo" is Milk, so "tit-goo path" is milky way, and "tit-goo-thing" is galaxy

Oppai! It's oppai-goo-dō oppai-goo-thing! [/weaboo]

(I love redundant etymology. By far the best I've found is still Nueva Cartagena - new new new city. You could get something like this if you see English speakers calling the Paraguay River "Rio Paraguay River" [they always treat "rio" as a name, and "para" is "river" in Guaraní], but sadly I never saw it.)

Sucking animals (Säugetiere) in German.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 week ago

Correction: suckling animals. Säugen = to suckle
