We have them in Canada. There it usually a box of copper planchets next to the machine.
We still have pennies in the UK, and the machines that used to cost £1 and 1p now just cost £2 by card and they provide the copper blank inside the machine.
I visited Denver mint and got a free mint condition penny (and a blank) while I was there. Gotta hold.onto that, might be worth something if it's one of the last years
