Me: Heads up, that's spicy water!
Them:You brought booze to work?
Me: no, I put a bunch of cayenne pepper in it.

My doctor recently told me I need to stop drinking soda water as my only source of hydration. My adhd brain is like, "no, still water is boring so let's just avoid water altogether!"
I'm allowed to put fruit in the water in the morning, but maybe I can get away with cayenne the rest of the day lol
What about carbonated water (I assume "soda water" means "carbonated sugar water" here)?
I meant carbonated water. I dont like sweetened things. It's also why the fruit suggestion by my doctor hasn't been enough to get me to stick to still water
Why does your doctor have an issue with plain carbonated water, tho ... ?

I'm struggling with urinary incontinence
Huh, TIL.
Still contains carbonic acid, i don't drink soda bc it fucks up your teeth.
Do you have a source on that? First time I've heard that plain sparkling water is supposed to be bad for teeth.
Ngl, havent looked it up because i am familiar with the chemistry of carbonic acid, but I suppose I should.
It looks like its generally considered safe but it is in fact very slightly corrosive to your teeth, but that seems to be more correlated to the presence of calcium ions than to carbonic acid. That being said, any acid can slowly dissolve your teeth so its kinda whatever.
Technically, it is corrosive. But on a scale it would be water = 0, carbonated water = 1, soda = 10.
Edit: also here is the actual study they are referencing, since you did ask for the study itself.
Thanks!
Yes, I have water, but it has cayenne inside. You cool with it?
Ngl spicy water actually sounds kinda nice
Its not "water" anymore its "Cayenne Drink".
Do you have any water? "no"
