This game was awesome!

Needs a crossover with GTA...

I believe SimCopter and Streets of SimCity allowed you to load your SimCity 2000 saves as maps. Never tried it myself (I did play a lot of SimCity 2000), but I imagine it must have been mind blowing.

I got both Streets of SimCity and SimCopter for that feature alone. It was awesome!

I found something of a cheat in SimCity 3000...

Every 4 years in game time, the game randomly generates a disaster. Save the game just before it generates the disaster. If the disaster it generates is severe, just reload the game from the last save, and it'll generate a different disaster.

Then just roll with whatever disaster causes the least damage... 👍

Another option is to disable disasters. :)

I have 1,000+ hours in SimCity 3000, the overwhelming majority of it was without disasters.

Wait, that was an option?

I'm actually planning on trying to set up and play the game again under Linux Mint 22.1 / WINE 9.0

I never knew that option even existed...
