Maybe using soft language like subbing "autocracy" in for "Nazis," will help?

- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Or using "deport" with USA citizens getting sent to death camps with no due process. Or anyone not sent back to their home country. Still sane washing. It's not just the Murdoch rags.
US media needs to start saying fascism when it sees fascism.
The American public has been so propogandized into thinking the US is inherently antifascist (as a holdover from WW2) that even their educated can't recognize it happening in front of them.
Oh lookie here at all this ultranationalism, militarism, authoritarianism, language around purity / sanctity of our nation and scapegoating of minorities / immigrants. I wonder what we should call this absolutely unprecedented stew of bullshit that's meant to put people through a meatgrinder that concentrates power and enriches the elite?
They recognize it. They just want to protect themselves while others take risks.
Much like .. Everyone else.
Almost like they want to....be on the sidelines.
To be fair it's not exclusive to the Nazis, you don't defeat autocrats with your hands in your pockets
To be fair, we have a nazi problem.
That's definitely true as well
The irony of that being hosted on NYT is palpable.
Legacy media has also never defeated fascism.
Guess who’s not on the sidelines, NYT.
G’head. Guess.
fuck NYT
