New home for me with Cat 6 backbone and a TP-Link Deco BE63 mesh network. My music machine is hardwired to the TP-Link with a Gigabit switch in between. My issue is that I'm showing packet loss and the packet loss fluctuates widely (sometimes 0, sometimes above 30%).I am using Internet Speed Test - Measure Network Performance | Cloudflare as my tool. I have read elsewhere that others with Deco equipment experience similar. At my prior home I had turned a similar Deco network into AP only with good performance. I do still have the TP-Link Armada router that I'd used there, but am a little nervous about TP-Link gear for this type of purpose. I'd prefer something that doesn't require a lot of configuration and has a good web interface. FWIW, my provider is xFinity and I have GB+ service. I've ordered myself a USB-->Ethernet dongle, as I will see what kind of performance I get if I plug directly into the modem (Aris DOCSIS 3.1). My gut is that the router portion of the Deco is culprit.
