I just wanted to brag about this app with colors and objectives! I can get distracted, and still remember to keep cleaning. When I see a room is in red, that means back to cleaning xD

I'm not in anyway affiliated with the app and just wanted to give them some free add time. The app is called Sweepy and it cost me €17 a year. For the help I'm getting from it, it's worth it.

I hope this helps my ADHD homies out. If anyone has other apps they use through the day, please share!

Oh no.. hopefully I can keep on track 🤞🏼

I think my problem may have been that I scheduled chores based on how frequently I thought they "ought to be" done rather than how often my ADHD partner and ADHD self were realistically capable of. It led to a spiral of always being behind which led to us not checking the app or checking stuff off when we did it.

The "time to do chores" daily reminder was completely unhelpful because I would always either ignore it because I wasn't feeling up to cleaning or ignore it because I was already cleaning.

We'll probably give the app another go one of these days with a more relaxed schedule, hope you have better luck with it.

🫣 that sounds exactly how I'd be in that situation. Hopefully my wife and kids can at least help to keep me on track. I think using the award system is a good way to keep my kids active with it. Trust me, when they want something, they will remind me every second of every minute, of every day. Those annoying buggers can finally use their powers for good! 😅

Do you get to the cloud district very often? Oh what am I saying, of course you don't.

It also comes with a ranking system. For us whoever cleans the most throughout the week get's Döner on saturday xD Gives the kids a reason to remind me to clean

That’s so cute

Time to put my mods list to good use.

The app really is great but for me it only lasted 1-2 months. And then some tries to resurrect it but... yeah.

Still, very good recommendation!

Hopefully just like some of our aquarium fish.. it stays alive xD

I'd love to try something like this, but I don't see a reason to pay a subscription, or 30€ or more. Does anyone know a good one that's at most 10€? Don't need cloud.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

30? I pay €18 for a year's subscription

[–] [email protected] 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah, but I don't want to pay a subscription fee for something like this, a flat fee should be enough. Someone else mentioned a lifetime subscription for another app costing 30€, but that's again way too expensive.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Oh, that makes sense, good luck! If you find an app like that message me xD

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Thanks, will do! Since you have stuff assigned to multiple names, I'm assuming you use a cloud integration, right?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm not sure. 😅

I made everyone an profile in the app. For my wife I sent her an invite via email, that let her access my account, but only under her profile.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

Ah, then it goes through a server, since it synchronizes the information. In that case a subscription makes sense, but I don't need that, so hopefully there's something cheaper.

I wish such things worked I really do but I have like dozens of these apps with 20+ notifications each

That means dad in German 🤷

I know; I was just amused by your expression :)

I like the LifeUp app but I tried a few times and never got it to stick.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I just watched a video on it after reading your comment. It looks interesting. Added to the list of what to check out if sweepy doesn't work for us.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I like that it lets me change the noise when I complete a task. I used the mario coin sfx and it made me smile every time.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

I didn't know that was a thing!! 😱

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)
[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

If sweepy falls through I'll make sure to try this one, thanks for the tip!

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Is it cheaper? For me it says 20$ yearly

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Yes and $29.95 for unlimited years. No subscription.

Vielleicht hast du Recht, aber das ist Schnee von gestern 😅

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Wieso, hast du das zweite Huckleberry genannt, um dem ganzen eine literarische Tiefe zu geben? 😉

[–] [email protected] 1 points 2 weeks ago

Nein, aber das würde echt gut zu uns passen 🤓

I tried Habitica, which at least when I tried it had a free tier or was free. But I found for me it just led to me trying to game it like I do video games (so it was too good at gamifying) and not actually making progress on the things I wanted to make progress on

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago

I just downloaded it, looks sick! Can't wait to do my first speed run xD

I might try to use that for the gym, kA
