I just love how the best any US politician can do is point out the obvious.

Well when more than half the population either wants or is apathetic to what's happening, what is really supposed to get done?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Actual opposition? Actual leadership?

We're literally watching, at best, the destruction of every social good of the 20th century and the political supremacy of the oligarchy or, at worst, a 21st century Reich but with Evangelicals.

Something more than, "oh hey this looks bad" would be nice. Something that would belie the "controlled opposition" label being used for Dems would be nice. Getting out from under the thumb of AIPAC would be nice.

This isn't some overnight sensation that can just be squished out easy.

This is deep rooted. To fix this is going to take decades at this point. And again, half the population still wants or either doesn't care that this is happening.

This is the first steps to actual change, getting the other side to realize change needs to happen.

If you don't like it, do something better than complaining on the internet.

Yes, it's deep rooted, which means grassroots from the ground up local change. Which isn't happening in any coordinated manner by Dems.

But current Dems NEVER get past "the first step" because aside from a bare handful at this point, they don't represent the will of the people any more than Republicans do and it's really time the rest of you comprehend this deep down.

Also, get off your high fucking horse. You're on the same internet, and what makes you think I'm NOT doing anything?

Fucking controlled opposition bootlickers.

I agree with most of the content of your comments but I'll be damned if you didn't find the most aggressively annoying way to make those points.

[–] UrPartnerInCrime 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Nah. The person complains how the person stepping up (again after repeatedly being knocked down) to start deep rooted change isn't doing enough, then turns around and says we need someone to start the deep rooted change cause nobody is doing anything

They're just yelling to yell

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah that's what I meant. The content is largely accurate but it doesn't really apply to this specific person so it came off as unnecessarily hostile and out of place.

[–] UrPartnerInCrime 1 points 2 weeks ago

Oh. Well sorry if I came off as hostile and out of place with my comment haha

It's my filter for people(Liberals) who insist on tone policing.

If you want polite find an echo chamber.

Well asking nicely hasn't worked in the last 20 years. So of course people are passed that the ones who are supposed to represent us are not doing enough.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Seems like this specific person is doing what they can to represent us which makes the hostility in this thread seem out of place.

[–] UrPartnerInCrime 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

So, you want someone to go out there and start coordinating people and spreading the message of unity and change, but get mad when someone actual starts doing g just that and say it's not enough. Even though it just started and is gaining traction faster than everything.

Also, want to fuckign complain about me complaining about you, I'm not the fucking one who came on here to complain. You were. So it's not the fuckkng same. Maybe try better next time.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

That wasn't complaining that was countering your propaganda. Or did you not realize that's what you were spreading?

Controlled. Opposition. Propaganda.

The rest I'm ignoring because it's obviously projection.

[–] UrPartnerInCrime 1 points 2 weeks ago

I just love how the best any US politician can do is point out the obvious.

Real good counter point there. The nothing I said before because you started the conversation with that comment really got rebuttled. Since you were only countering the propaganda.

Keep reaching!

If the others had half a nut there would be many more options.

The more people who do even a little, the more everything multiplies.

unfortunately when you are the size and influence of US, this also makes other countries live in a moment of extraordinary danger.
