Woohoo Friday. Like many I get a whole two days away from work before starting another working week. So to put that into some kind of perspective, two days is like, Monday and Tuesday, that's two days also. Whoo a whole two days off, so lucky.

Yes I am a tad cynical but when did we all agree that five on and two off was the way to go, the way that it should be that we're all happy with ?!?!?

Well at least it seems to have stopped raining right now. Sad to see the devastation inland all across Queensland. Writing that I now realise that I have no idea about any effects that the cyclone had over in WA to be honest.

Well, here's hoping we all have a safe and pleasant weekend. Cheers.

I never agreed to the current norm of 5 and 2 tbh! I feel we should have a fresh vote on this!

I'm having a mental blank... Or possibly I just invented a word that doesn't exist once, and that's why I can't remember it now.

What's the term for when someone has to come to grips with something happening that is the exact opposite to their beliefs?

For example, i I think all dual cab 4x4s are driven by wankers... But then one day, the driver of a dual cab does something courteous and I have to ??? the idea that a dual cab driver could be ok AND dual cab driver.

Consolidate? Reconcile?

I think you're close and the word you might be looking for is "re conciliate".

Now, I know you're on the road heaps and you see certain things all the time. I believe that there is a certain stigma attached to tradie utes in general. Now, I am in no way defending so many of them, no way. However, I firmly believe that they tend to stand out.

Over the next few weeks keep on the lookout for bad drivers of say, Japanese four door cars. I sincerely believe that you will witness similar behaviour.

And don't get me started on "white van man".

;)
