"The Pollok Free State convened around Colin Macleod’s one-man protest in a beech tree. Colin’s message resonated with folk from the surrounding estates in Pollok, Nitshill and Cardonald who objected to their access to the park being cut off for the benefit of affluent car owners in Giffnock and Newton Mearns having quicker access to Glasgow city centre."
