Ew. At least "Reform" didn't win, but still.

SNP are definitely suffering for not having continued to pursue ScotIndy. Don't know who politicians listen to but in doesn't seem to be the folk on the ground very often. Also, their baffling decisions over ecological matters of late, when everyone is becoming more and more aware of climate change impacts in their own lives, can't have helped.

The lido in Stonehaven is the last outdoor one I went to. Years ago. It was great. Mildly heated saltwater. Ticket let you stay as long as you liked. Literally spent hours there at a time. Loved it.

The only thing I'd ask of them is that they don't have floodlights on 24/7. Dark skies are very important at night for various reasons. I'd like to see Scotland heading towards being a dark skies nation like New Zealand and others are trying to be.

Just trying to relax. Hope to go swimming soon but it's not happening this weekend.

🤣 "The Scottish Tories said the presiding officer had shown a "consistent pattern to favour certain parties at the expense of others"."

Aye! She favours the ones who respect the rules of the parliament, and let others speak. That's her job.

They've rapidly become the only option worth considering, to me. Gave a decade to the SNP, who seem to have no will anymore to do the thing they are titled after. "Labour" are worse, and I'm not touching the others with a bargepole.

If you live in the area you can contact your councillors to tell them what the greenbelt means to you and urge them not to be tricked by the hollow promises of these developers.

Contact details can be found at: https://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/your-council/councillors-and-committees/your-councillor

What is going on right now?! In an age when we need to be protecting/encouraging whatever nature we've got left, all of these numpties are wielding their ill-deserved power against it.

The luxury houses and themeparks get to decimate our wild lands (and us by extension). But anything remotely helpful to nature (and therefore our own health) is challenged at every stage.

Don't even get me started on the other, frankly bizarre, environmental choices I see around.

In another dodgy move environmentally, Scottish Greenbelt land continues to be under threat from "developers".

There are a tonne of places that could really do with redevelopment. But presumably it's cheaper just to forget them and smash what little green space is left within walking distance of most folk.

Raging.

Looks like a company stole a voice actor's recordings. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cn4q7984nq1o

If you've an interest in developing video games some of the events are free I believe.

It's a great language and all the speakers I've had interaction with have been very kind about my lack of skill. Just do your best.

I'm a bit of a scrambler myself. Not into rock-climbing but if I see a slope it's hard to resist.

They've a new roguelike deckbuilder out called Into the Restless Ruins (2025).

With the release of Oblivion Remastered came memories of this review of the original game.

Thankfully we no longer have to drop the pies.

Rain had good timing. Less having to jump on wildfires, more time for community fun.
