I have a daydream where we set up honey pots for this kind of thing. We invite people who think company towns are a good idea to come to a convention and make their pitch. And then they don't leave.

I like the cut of your jib mate
If you haven’t heard of California Forever, look it up. And be prepared to be disgusted.
I think they just lost a lawsuit, or is this another one? One of them was buying up land and they were kicked out. Their Wikipedia page doesn't really go into it, but does mention this:
In January 2025, the city of Suisun City announced that it was investigating expanding to lands to the east, effectively annexing much of California Forever.[25] Such a maneuver would side-step the need for a county-wide referendum on the issue
Good info, I hadn’t seen that. I’ve been loosely following this story since before it had a name, and had only a blind Mailboxes Etc. PO box. Cautiously optimistic it does get traction.
Mmmm we already gotta name for 'freedom cities' cuz they already existed, they were called "company towns". Company towns are full of freedom for big business, and we all know what big business does with more "freedom"... Enslavement of workers.
Glad people have already starting mentioning coal and company towns. Sure these tech towns will have some flashy shit to start, but it will end the same.
It really is sickening.
Coal towns, here we come!
Please, build these cities! They will provide horrifying entertainment for years to come!
I think I'm going to throw up. Trump is trying to sell off our national parks already.
... I call this city Saint Trumpzizko!
