/r/buildapc - Planning on building a computer but need some advice? This is the place to ask!

I have the 9070xt in hand. I didn't think any of this through. My goal was to get a GPU that wasn't scalped to high hell. I realize that I haven't paid attention to this space in a while and my information is outdated.

In my previous build experience the amd CPU stratification was very simple. Ryzen 3 <- basically for Chromebook. Avoid at all cost. Ryzen 5 <- good mid range and won't bottle neck your system while GPU is churning our frames Ryzen 7 <- you just wanna flex or you're a tech guru doing cool shit on the side.

It seems things have gotten a bit more complicated lately. I've looked for build examples on YouTube, but every video I see is using a ryzen 9 thousand x3d chip. The chips are like $400+!!!!

Are these guys just flexing, or is that the caliber of cpu i need to avoid bottlenecks in my GPU?

I'd appriciate any quality "ryzen breakdown for dummies" breakdown video/article.
