I dug my old Nintendo DS out of storage a few months ago. Unfortunately I sold all the games to it long ago but I've slowly been rebuying them. Recently beat Sonic Rush once again. I don't really game much these days but its portability makes it nice to have for long bus/train journeys. Was surprised it still works to be honest lol.

I was vegetarian for a while before going vegan and this is when I became introduced to tofu. I didn't like it at first but I tried it again once turning vegan and by then I had grown to like it.

- Been really enjoying Doechii
- I think I first had tofu as a vegetarian, but that was in the late 90s and was a teen with little exposure to non-western food. Tofu was available in most grocery stores but I did have to go to the health food store for any sort of "substitute" that's wasn't soymilk lol.
- I finally played The Last of Us. It's maybe not the most vegan friendly game since it has a couple of hunting scenes in it, but I guess it gets the "desert island" pass, as agriculture pretty much ceases completely during the zombie apocalypse.
Otherwise, it was quite a good story. Maybe a bit predictable at times, but well executed enough to more than make up for it. The characters are interesting, and the pacing is fantastic. It has solidly enjoyable stealth mechanics, although the enemy AI is unrealistically oblivious at times, making it a bit easier than it probably should've been in places.
One thing I really liked was that the mild "horror" elements really aimed at tension, instead of any jump scares. The scary bits are well telegraphed so you're not particularly surprised when they come.
- I used to buy and cook tofu when I was still in university long before I went vegan. I always liked trying different cultures' foods, and especially east-asian stuff, so I had a couple of tofu dishes in my standard repertoire. I can't say I remember when I first tried it, though.
I did discover tofu scrambles after I went vegan, though. Maybe 2 years in? Now it's one of my favourite breakfasts to have on some toast with some diced green onion. Yum.
I found this really jammy synthpop artist from another jungle/breakcore artist(Cynthoni) How i roughly discovered this artist went something like this: Cynthoni did a miku cover of Drab Majesty's "Long Division" listened to the un-miku-ified version of it, then found Drabs Majesty's album "Modern Mirror"
Its been a bop to listen to :3
- I've been listening to a bunch of music lately and I've been reading (a physical book) for the first time in five years, which is cool.
- I discovered "cooking" with tofu a year before I became vegan when I was a vege****an. I would take it out of the fridge and eat it raw in the block it came in. Now, when I use it I actually make sure it soaks up the flavours in my cooking
, but I still sometimes get the urge to eat it on its own haha.
When I'm in the mood for plain-ish tofu, I like to pan fry it with a bit of salt and sesame oil:

One of the my favourite things about tofu is how versatile it is!
