They should be outlawed and they got 20%.
That's fucking terrifying no matter how you spin it.

Don't call it a failure when Nazis consider it just another inconvenience.
They doubled their share of votes, that’s hardly a failure. They also have enough votes to be a pain in the butt. The seats come with offices, employees, discretionary spending etc. The AfD will be able to further build their networks and base.
AfD and the Linke (Left socialist party) together habe more than 1/3 of the seats. That means no changes to the constitution or flexible spending without the approval of either.
Isn't that how Le Pen's party was able to cause havoc in France? By gaining a large enough minority to be a contender for coalition-building and then exploiting it to exert control?
I'm not too up to speed, but I feel like I remember them causing significant fuckage with exactly that mechanism.
Edit: And, presumably, the left will inevitably feel it needs to stomp its feet and scream that the center isn't left enough, so no way we can cooperate with those guys, leaving the center to appease the Nazis if they want to get anything done.
Good. Now arrest him for election interference.
I hope the incoming German government takes careful note of how turbulent Musk is. They could even conclude that he is a state actor unto himself. An actual sovereign citizen, if you will.
He did do a good job though. These nazi traitors have about a fifth of the vote, we can only hope the are outlawed during the next four years.
They were polling at 20% in 2022 already, before he even bought Twitter. They gained basically no new votes in the last two years. Some hopium: 20% might be the highest percentage of people willing to vote for them.
The ~20% might be their ceiling. But depending on how much the conservatives and others fuck up, 30% are in the cards in the future.
They have popular positions and have a solid established voter base.
Do you remember when people thought Trump had a ceiling?
Yes, but he still only managed to collect around 9% more of the total number of votes compared to 2016. Granted, that may be a lot in a two-party system, but it works differently when you have over a dozen to choose from. The parties are always much closer to cannibalizing each other.
Now send in the undercover strike force
