I haven't had a PC in a few years, so I'm building one mostly from scratch. It's probably going to be used for 75% GPU-heavy work (CUDA is a hard requirement here) and 25% gaming.

Obviously 50-series Nvidia GPUs are hard to get at the moment, and on principle I'm not going to buy from a scalper. I haven't heard many good things about the 4060ti, but it's also the only card I can seem to find at MSRP right now. Is it really as bad as the gamer crowd likes to say it is? If I buy one now and wait a few months for newer GPUs to come back in stock, am I just wasting my money?
