I agree :)
I Made This
Did you make something? Do you want the fleeting rush of endorphins that come with affirmation from strangers? Do you think what you made is neat? Share it here!
Paintings, movies, music, drawings, models, gardens, houses, snowmen, sandcastles - if you made it, you can post it.
RULES:
Some things you make are not to be shared. These include:
- Messes
- Children
- Biological... byproducts
- Bigotry
Do not be a jerk.
- No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, classism, or bigotry of any kind.
- Don't try to sell stuff unless people ask. You can post your Etsy (or similar) if someone prompts you. No spamming self-promotion.

Yep. We should definitely expand to "I am making this" as well.
I concur :)
I think that'd fit this community, everyone who makes stuff knows it's never the straightforward path we think it is to start.
It's aways something that we could split into another community if it starts being to much, but I think at this point the more making posts, the better!
I have to tell myself constantly that progress made is still made. I want to hear about the magic, the misses, and the "I used my ultrasonic cleaner on my snowblower's carburetor and now it shoots a pinhole amount of gas out of the side" moments!
Totally agree! Let's celebrate the journey and not just the destination. Oftentimes, the journey is more interesting and you might not ever make it to the destination.
I would be happy to include updates on whatever electronic doohickies I am fiddling with. Usually it's mechanical keyboards, but not always. I wanted a new weather clock but then I just repurposed a 12 year old ipad instead. I was very proud.
Go for it! Those sound like things I would be interested in reading about.
I've been (slowly) battling making a hand powered generator with one of my kids who's fascinated by these kinds of things. I am going to try to put together a post describing where we are, why progress is currently stopped, and what I'm doing to try to get over the hurdle.

Very nice. Did you pull the switches apart to fiddle with the springs? I've never seen that many, or really any, springs in the same photo as a mechanical keyboard before.
I did!
