On review I agree, we need better sources before we can be confident of this story.

It's less about free speech and more about accuracy of language. When the waters are constantly muddied by making meaningless distinctions of a "pregnant woman" vs "pregnant person" when a man cannot get pregnant you're just making things confusing to stroke your own ego.
