One of the many new executive orders signed by President Donald Trump on Monday was the long-hyped creation of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). DOGE is portrayed as a sort of government efficiency and innovation office, but it’s primarily flimsy cover for the extraction class as they eliminate corporate oversight, consumer protection, labor rights, and the social safety net.
The program was supposed to be spearheaded by two of the country’s biggest bloviating weirdos, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy. Ramaswamy is already leaving the agency because he purportedly wants to take a shot at becoming the Governor of Ohio (though other reports suggest he somehow managed to annoy most of the people at a fake government agency already filled with annoying people).
DOGE has other issues already as well. While it’s not a real government agency, it does appear to qualify as a federal advisory committee (FACA). And FACAs do have documentation, transparency, and other rules they have to follow, including producing meeting minutes, filing a Charter with Congress, having “fairly balanced” ideological representation, and maintaining some semblance of public open access.

DOGE probably stands for Diversion Of Groveling Extremist.
Cuz it sure ain't a state department and it doesn't look very efficient so far.
The biggest issue I have with their fake boys' club is the initialism.
If they want to mimic gov't agencies, they gotta use the three-letter rule. It isn't the BOLM nor the DOMV. The few exceptions include the DoD, which needs all three letters to hang with the rest, the NLRB, and the BATFE (which often gets cut to ATF anyway.
All I'm saying is their joke of an agency should be referred to as the DGE along with its figureheads for clarity, if referenced at all.
And those lawsuits are likely to go exactly where the other lawsuits in relation to the Orange went .. nowhere.
I gotta say, the outrage and hurt associated with this new administration seems disingenuous at best. Half the population of the USA voted for this and now they're surprised that it's as bad as the rest of the world has been saying? They've had years to prepare for this, it's only going to get worse.
This.
Remember that Trump isn't the problem, he's a symptom. If you want to know the problem, you need only look in the mirror.
When Trump is gone, another weirdo fascist will take his place - most likely a democrat, since they'll be forced to adopt extreme positions to win extremist-loving voters back.
